On Oct. 2, officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, where there was a report of harassment, prompting an investigation.
Police said that the investigation determined that between Oct. 12 and Oct. 21, Cortlandt Manor resident Anthony Cassone allegedly made several calls to the voicemail system that “served no legitimate purpose and caused the victim annoyance and alarm.”
Cassone has also reportedly protested outside of the Lakeland administration building and has been a fixture at Board of Education meetings for nearly a year.
Cassone, 55 - who admitted to leaving 25 voicemails to Stone in August and unwanted messages to a woman in June - was issued a criminal summons with an underlying charge of harassment. The summons was served on Nov. 13 and Cassone is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Nov. 27.
